A decade. Ten years shaped by the clinical encounter.
I began my professional work within the public health system and now practice primarily in private clinical settings. Over the past ten years, I have worked in psychotherapy with children, adolescents, couples, and adults. Each clinical encounter is different, yet many return to the same gesture: slowing down and staying with a question long enough for something personal to emerge.
Not answers borrowed from theory, nor reduced to easy explanations, but answers rooted in one’s own lived experience.
In a world that pushes toward quick definitions and ready-made explanations, psychotherapy and psychoanalysis offer a different rhythm. They create a space where meaning is not imposed but allowed to form, where each personal history is treated as singular, and where understanding grows from that singularity.
Alongside my clinical practice, I have taught psychology at public and private universities at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Teaching, like psychotherapy, has shown me that learning is less about certainty and more about tolerating uncertainty, resisting premature closure, and allowing thought to take its time.
I hold a degree in psychology and a postgraduate specialization in clinical psychology, and I am currently a member of the Institute of the Caracas Psychoanalytic Society. Beyond credentials, my clinical work is guided by close attention to language and the body, to memory, affect, and culture, and to the contemporary difficulty of remaining with not knowing without rushing toward answers.
I work fluently in both Spanish and English, and I can understand German, although I do not conduct psychotherapy in that language. I am attentive to the economic realities that shape access to psychological care. My fees are approached with flexibility when there is a genuine commitment to the therapeutic process, and this has never prevented sustained and meaningful work.
I currently offer in-person psychotherapy and psychoanalytic work in Caracas, as well as online psychotherapy for patients living outside the city. This allows continuity of clinical work across locations while preserving rigor and commitment. I intend to continue practicing psychotherapy in Venezuela, remaining grounded in the local context that has shaped my professional path, while maintaining a global perspective informed by my upbringing.
